Annual Community Fair Returns

For over 50 years Montague Old Home Days has been held on the third week end in August on the Montague Center Common and Church Grounds.  This year kicks off Friday night with lots of energy from the talented dancers from Karens Dance Studio.  Bring you chair and enjoy colorful costumes, amazing talent and non stop toe tapping music.  Food booths and games will also be open.

Saturday, the tag sale will open at 8 am, with the 37th Mug Race blasting off at 8:30.  This is a 5.5 mile run over and around Taylor Hill,,great scenery, a few hills and lots of support along the course.  Registration: runreg.com. There is a 2 mile run at 8:35.  At 9 the doors of the Church Sanctuary open to an amzing display of quilts, vendors on the Common set up shop and 10 the Childrens games come to live. Throughout the day Dusti Dufresne will perform along with Celtic Heel Dancers and the North County Line Dancers.  1:30 a Parade winds down Main Street, anyone with a vintage motor vechicle is welcomed to meet at the fire station to join the line up.  2:30 Award winning, Tyler Conroy takes Center Stage for one of his final Western Mass performances,,Tyler is headed to the bright lights of Broadway!!

Sunday 10 am  Come worship with us as we welcome Kurt Pearson, Certified Lay Leader. Kurt is a Montague Center native and currently belongs to the United Methodist Church in Glfd.  Special music will be perform by Becky Walton and John Fuller.  Fellowship will follow the service.

Reminder: Dogs are welcomed on the Common but please be sure they are leashed and under your control.  We want everyone to feel welcomed.  If you wish to rent space as a vendor   367-2061.
